Following the onset of an anxiety attack, most sufferers often take a while to recover from the disorder. The factors that attribute to panic attacks are mostly stress related. If the condition is not treated in a timely manner, it can cause the victim to suffer far worse episodes. Most victims find themselves agreeing to this statement: "I feel weird months after a panic attack." They must examine why is it that they feel this way.

The symptoms of anxiety attacks happen quickly and spread to the rest of the body in only a second and they cause the victim to become fearful of his situation. Since stress is the underlying cause of panic attacks, it is not likely that the victim will become better if he does not take prompt actions to eliminate the stress in his life.

The victim will first go through short bursts of panic attacks that strike them periodically. Over time, the episodes increase in frequency and the duration becomes longer. One must seek immediate help from a doctor. Most sufferers are not worried when they experience their first short attacks. It is when the episodes begin to affect them regularly and more seriously that they become proactive.

With each day that you live with the condition, your behaviour begins to change. This accounts for the reason why you feel weird or strange after your panic attacks. The psychological scars continue to haunt you long after you are cured from the disorder.
